Warsaw Jewish Film Festival
The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival is a review of the latest international cinema with a competition of features and documentaries dealing with ”Jewish themes” in the broadest sense. By ”Jewish themes”, the filmmakers mean films that present the history, tradition, culture and contemporary life of Jews all over the world, with particular emphasis on the city of Warsaw as a pre-war centre of Jewish life in Poland and Europe.
For the past 20 years, the Festival team has been striving through the art of film to uphold Jewish cultural heritage, promote attitudes of tolerance and fight xenophobia. The festival is a meeting place where the current times, which grow out of history, are strongly present. In 2023, the festival will adopt the theme “Thou Shalt Not Be Indifferent”.
Event duration: October 23, and 28-29, 2023
